San Antonio High Rises – “LOFTS” YES OR NO?

Beautiful San Antonio High Rises fill the air along the river walk. It should be noted that most high rises are mid century lofts, that have a unique construction built from a retired industrial building. It’s very common for the exposed brick, and pillars to be recycled and reused. Nonetheless these super stylish apartments, have cons as well.

I have looked at multiple buildings of this nature, and I always notice the same things that are overlooked by many. A perfect apartment needs to be suitable for at least a 12 month period. A Kitchen with a lack of outlets will grow tiresome on most. In addition older lofts always has an odd musky smell to it. Obviously these buildings weren’t built for living. That does not mean they cant be enjoyed, it really depends on the personality. I encourage all to do a little research, and ask themselves what they really want in a home. To conclude The fact that the loft apartment looks cool could get you stuck in 12 months of frustration.

Downtown San Antonio – My experience

I stayed in Downtown San Antonio for a week enjoying Gloria’s, and Sam’s burger joint. Sam’s burger joint was stunning with it’s Rock and roll theme. In addition to Gloria’s being  a great spot with strong margaritas and exuberant Hispanic culture.  People welcomed me with opened arms, and it was baffling how much fun I could have in such a short period of time. The streets were always busy with people trying to enjoy the nature. I read before that San Antonio was the friendliest city, now I came to experience it for myself. I was a walk away from the Vistana apartments at this point.

Vistana Apartments – Luxury High Rise in Downtown

Undoubtedly I walked towards the apartment to tour. It looked pretty safe, firstly because I had a hard time finding the entrance, and secondly I noticed the staff and residents could only open the gate. I called them from the intercom on the speaker to enter. Further more I entered the building with ease and appreciation for the complex. A Very kind leasing agent navigated me through the hallway into her office. We sat talking about the different floor plans and the brilliant pricing. She worked at an apartment near Sea World prior, so I was familiar with her voice. She grabbed the keys to the apartment and said lets go.

Inside of  Vistana Apartments – The Tour

We walked through the first unit after making our way . I noticed the lighting was magnificent. Massive windows With a downtown view.  Light was beaming through the windows producing a feeling of happiness. Extending through the hallway concrete floors extended with a marble look. Additionally the space in the kitchen had elegant white quartz counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and and a huge farm style sink. I peaked into the room over, and saw a den that was big enough to be a bedroom. Honestly it was the perfect office space. Continuing in there was massive bedrooms with sizable windows peaking over the city. Attached was the bathroom, a garden tub, and whit quartz to continue the design fro the rest of the Apartment. In conclusion the Vistana was the modern high rise that stands out from the rest.
