The central floor plan has been on my mind for a while; because of the massive loft that presented tons of extra space. Finally, the time has ticked to an end as we have made it down the hall.
Firstly, we entered the room, wood floors covering every inch of space on the ground floor. It was a pet-lovers dream. I trotted through the place eyes wide open and looking out the windows and seeing the fantastic view of Downtown Houston. It was an abundant feeling as I felt a connection with the other neighboring high rises as one big community. The staircase leading up to the main bedroom was sitting in the middle of the floor near the window. It was a metal rail leading up to a second floor in an industrial style. I took step by step in the curiosity about what was going to be awaiting next. I overlooked a few steps from reaching the level and saw tons of carpeted space leading to a bathroom. Air duct lined the section of the ceiling giving a real factory feel. extravagant bathrooms that were elongated filled the separate room.
My thoughts on these Downtown Lofts
Firstly I believe these were created for someone with a creative side that loves waking up in the morning and feeling unique. The air-duct and other industrial qualities are a true testament of history and should be respected. It was a neat compilation of luxury finishes that most luxury places do have.
Secondly, Rice lofts are not for everyone. A lot of the area was awkwardly spaced and may not utilize the space in the desired way necessary. I noticed many of the units had elongated hallways at some point in the floorplan. Furthermore, The openness of modern floorplan is truly a utility that most cannot live without.
Thirdly, It does not have all the things that luxury apartments have. Some enjoy the grey hardwood floors, with white quartz countertops which have been the style since 2018. Jumping from place to place and jumping on the latest architectural trend/special is what nearly 25% of apartment dwellers plan for every year.
